Dazzling Destin Pointe is a private gated upscale residential community located at the far western end of Holiday Isle.  This is Destin's version of island living since Holiday Isle is surrounded by jeweled town waters on three out of four sides.  The views from Destin Ponte Real Estate are indeed dazzling since pure white sand dunes shimmer in the sun and the emerald green gorgeous gulf extends all the way to the southern horizon. The Destin Pointe neighborhood is also centered on two interior natural lakes named Caroline and Christina. These uniquely pristine, coastal dune lakes attract abundant wildlife including Great Blue Herons, snowy white Egrets, Seagulls and an assortment of wild ducks. The views are stunning across these sun dappled little lakes since they are bordered by sugary dunes topped with golden colored sea oats  and the glistening open waters can be seen beyond. Rock jetties on each side of East Pass attract an abundance of colorful tropical fish and snorkeling here is a popular pursuit. Many people also enjoy fishing off the jetties when they are not swimming in the gulf, sunbathing on the beach, enjoying a picnic or walking around the neighborhood in this very pedestrian community. During the entire summer vacation season and on most major holidays, residents enjoy seeing awesome displays of fabulous fireworks light up the skies above East Pass which can be easily seen. Many often amble down to the beach with their kids, bring a picnic basket, spread a blanket, grab a cold one from the cooler and enjoy these shows from there. The beautiful beaches, shimmering lakes, landscaped parks, a kid's play ground, private tennis courts and a large community pool with a club house create a very friendly family Destin community.

Even though you feel far away from everything at the very end of this “island” you are just minutes away from Destin itself including Harborwalk Village and the marina. Fishing excursions, water recreation and the popular seasonal parties held at nearby Crab Island are just minutes away. Restaurants abound there as well along with lively bars, musical entertainment, art galleries, and boutiques. Big Kahuna's Water Park is also close by for refreshing adventure and fun amidst waterfalls, water slides, “Lazy River” rides and tubing. They also have thrill rides and a lushly landscaped miniature golf course.

There have been nine real estate sales at Destin Pointe from May, 2012 to May, 2013 averaging at $816,000 or $338.09 per square foot. The median price was $700,000 with a range between $340,000 for sale of the lowest priced home to $1,590,000 for the highest closed contract. Currently there are only seven homes for sale which range from an asking price at $889,000 for a 2,326 square foot lake view home with four bedrooms and four baths to $1,995,000 for a 2,604 square foot beach front home with four bedrooms and four baths.
