One of the most family-friendly communities in Destin, Florida just got even more kid friendly. Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort launched Club KZ this spring. A fully-supervised program of exciting activities for children ages 3 to 12, Club KZ offers age-appropriate activities geared to spark young imaginations, encourage physical activity, and develop social community; but the emphasis is clearly on FUN!
While mom and dad take some much-needed time off to relax and enjoy their own pursuits, their children could be going on a pirate treasure hunt, building a giant sandcastle, challenging themselves on the ropes course, gliding through the air on the zipline, biking around the resort or splashing their way to victory in a noodle race. Every day at Club KZ brings exciting new adventures and new opportunities to make friends and build memories. Club KZ is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with activities beginning at 10 a.m., giving parents ample time to play a round of golf on Sandestin’s championship links, get in a game or two of tennis on the resort’s championship tennis courts, pamper themselves at the resort’s famed spa or just spend a blissfully relaxing day on the beach. Daily programs cost $55 per child and include a nutritious, kid-pleasing lunch prepared by one of the resort’s popular restaurants. Parents may also want to take advantage of Club KZ’s Children’s Evening Out program. While mom and dad enjoy dinner at one of Sandestin’s fine restaurants or take a romantic stroll along the beach, their children will be busy with fun activities, dinner and movies in the new Club Room which features a 55-gallon salt water aquarium, amazing 12-foot high sand sculpture, and high-tech entertainment center packed with flat screens, surround sound, computers, Wii and Kinect. The evening program costs $45 per child and is available from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
